What We’re Reading: 28 February
February 28, 2011 in What We're Reading
What We’re Reading is a daily round-up of Irish foodie news and foodie links from around the web.
Didn’t manage to get the Saturday papers? You can read the Food & Drink sections of the Irish Times and the Irish Independent online.
Ever thought of taking a cookery course? Read about how Conor Pope managed at a men-only course at Cooks Academy.
What’s Foodily? A Foodie’s online dream come true, says the Huffington Post. But hot on its heels, Google has also launched a new recipe search function that allows cooks to find recipes by ingredient, rating and cooking time. If you’re still stuck for recipes or inspiration, you can also try Food Blog Search.
The BlogHer website writes: “Saveur and National Geographic photographer Penny de los Santos has spoken at BlogHer Food, gives classes in photography around the country, and shares her stories and images on Appetite. And now, she’s taking her show to the web. From May 13-15, anyone can watch a live-streamed, three-day training free – it’s a terrific opportunity to learn from this talented photographer and inspiring instructor. To register for the class, visit the Creative Live website. There is no cost to stream the class as it happens, but there is a nominal fee to purchase the recording after the fact.”
