Valentine’s night dinner – not just for couples!

Next week, Cork’s English Market will play host to an unusual Valentine’s night dinner.
Threshold’s Valentine’s Night Fundraiser will take place on Tuesday 14 February to raise funds for its work supporting people with housing problems or at risk of homelessness.
As well as tables for people dining à deux, there will also be a number of communal tables for single groups. All are urged to wrap up warmly for dinner at this atmospheric venue.
The party kicks off at 7pm, continuing until 10pm, and the event organisers promise guests a memorable meal, including wines compliment of The Farmgate Café and Irish Distillers.
Tickets cost €50, which includes fantastic food, drinks and entertainment on what sounds like it could become a most memorable night. The tickets are available from Threshold, 22 South Mall, Cork. Tel: 021 4278848
All funds generated will go directly to Threshold to help them tackle housing difficulties and problems of poverty and exclusion in Cork.

How did I miss this announcement, especially that I am in Cork for the week on work? Ah well, I hope that everyone who attended had a great time, and that lots of money was raised for Threshold.
