Top chef Derry Clarke, proprietor of the award winning Michelin starred l’Ecrivain Restaurant in Dublin, has launched his very first cooking app for the iPhone and iPad.
APPetiser by Derry Clarke guides you through 60 user-friendly recipes written especially for the home cook. Derry – who is famous for his friendly, amiable approach to cooking – encourages you to have fun while you cook at home, to lose any fear of making mistakes and to bring out the adventurous side to your cooking by putting your own stamp on his dishes.
Demonstration videos accompany a number of the recipes, which are divided into eight straightforward categories.
Two innovative areas have been included to assist people entertaining at home. In Sallyanne’s Party Tips Derry’s wife and business partner offers her advice by video on how to prepare for and throw the best dinner parties while, in the Wine Tips section, multi-award winning Sommelier Martina Delaney gives her top tips by video on picking wines for your dinner party.
Derry’s app is integrated with Facebook and Twitter, allowing users to share their messages, photography and videos of their dishes with Derry and each other.
The APPetiser by Derry Clarke app is available now for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad from the App Store, priced €4.99.
To celebrate the launch of his app, Derry is giving away five apps, plus one of the lucky winners will also get a €100 voucher for l’Ecrivain. For a chance to win, just leave a comment below.
