With world-class restaurants, chefs and produce, Taste of Dublin is a sumptuous, indulgent foodie day out in the heart of the capital attracting up to 30,000 visitors and the 2012 event promises to be the best yet.
Enjoy a feast for the senses with 20 of Dublin’s best restaurants, interactive masterclasses, two live entertainment stages and over 100 exhibitors. Pick up informative tips and enjoy intimate Q&A sessions with top chefs at the Chef’s Table. Don’t miss the ever-popular Taste Chef’s Theatre, where the country’s culinary greats share their secrets, show off their skills (and polish ours) with a host of elite pan-rattling demonstrations. From perfecting the art of canapés to finessing those barbecue skills and picking up the in-the-know shortcuts and techniques, it is certain to tempt all taste buds.
Tastes of Dublin is delighted to announce that Jamie Oliver will launch this year’s seventh annual food and drink festival on Thursday, 14 June and will also be giving a live cooking demo on stage in Ireland for the first time. Jamie will join a stellar bill of Irish and internationally famous chefs who will feature throughout Taste of Dublin, including Valentine Warner, Jean Christophe Novelli, Rachel Allen, Oliver Dunne, Catherine Fulvio, Ross Lewis, Derry Clarke and many more to be announced.
The heart of Taste of Dublin is the restaurants: all key names on the Dublin landscape and all helmed by chefs focused on the finest ingredients and culinary innovation. Small plate dining will be the order of the day, giving you the chance to create your very own tasting menu from Taste favourites including Chapter One, Bon Appetit, Pichet, Bang and Jaipur, plus Taste newcomers including Il Primo, Isabel’s, Brasserie le Pont, The Green Hen and more.
