LEADER Village Facade at the National Ploughing ChampionshipsEver wanted to try your hand at giving a cookery demonstration? Now’s your chance!

The Irish Local Development Network is looking for Irish food bloggers to do cookery demonstrations at the LEADER Village at the National Ploughing Championships this year. The Ploughing Championships take place on 25, 26 and 27 September in Heathpark, New Ross, Co. Wexford and are attended by over 180,000 people over the three days each year.

The LEADER Village has been a significant feature of the National Ploughing Championships since 2004. It is a large marquee dedicated to promoting indigenous Irish enterprises supported by Local Development Companies (often referred to as LEADER Partnerships) throughout the country.

This year, the village will feature 24 Local Development Companies who will be showcasing over 60 companies that have received both financial and business development supports from the LEADER programme. Many of these companies are artisan food and craft companies.

ILDN would provide the demo kitchen and the one condition for participation is that the participating food bloggers would incorporate the use of a few LEADER supported food products into their list of ingredients for the cookery demonstrations.

If you are interested in taking part, please contact Sinéad Murphy by emailing or call 087-9379572.

  1. Sounds great, maybe consider doing a ‘mystery basket’ with the LEADER supported food products!
