Giveaway: Dinner at The Library at Dandelion
September 10, 2012 in Giveaways
The Library is a new restaurant set within Dandelion, the well-known Dublin bar that fronts onto St Stephen’s Green. With new menus, chef and management team, The Library at Dandelion is quickly becoming a dining destination in its own right, offering great food from the kitchen of Head Chef Robert Sabongi, cooked to a very high standard yet served in a casual setting.
Signature starters include Ham Hock and Pistachio Wellington, prepared using rare breed Irish ham hocks and served up on a slate with apple puree and horseradish cream, or the Chicken Liver and Foie Gras Parfait, complemented by Amarena cherries with caramel and toasted walnut and raisin bread. For mains, try Beef and Guinness Pie, a classic created with rare care, shown in the tenderness of sous vide ox cheek, sharing the sauce with pearl onions, mushrooms and seasonal vegetables topped off with flaky buttercrust pastry, or the Pan-roasted Sea Bream served with Sicilian caponata and salsa verdi, already a favourite in just the first weeks of opening. Desserts, like the bread, are all made in house, and favourites include Cherry Clafoutis and Almond and Orange Cake. There’s a full bar and a small but perfectly formed wine list. Everything you need for a meal to remember!
